Environmental Stewardship & Regulatory Excellence
High-Performance Chemistry. Zero-Compromise Compliance.
HSO Lubricant bridges the gap between industrial performance and environmental preservation. Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015, and every formulation is evaluated against EPA, DOT/PHMSA, and IMO regulatory frameworks before release.
Regulatory Excellence
EPA Standards
Full compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations for air emissions (40 CFR Part 60), wastewater discharge (NPDES permits), and chemical storage (40 CFR 112 — SPCC plans). All facilities maintain active Tier II chemical inventory reporting.
DOT / PHMSA
Strict adherence to 49 CFR hazardous materials transportation regulations. All drivers hold current hazmat endorsements (HME). Packaging meets UN-certified specifications for Class 3 (flammable liquids) and Class 9 (environmentally hazardous substances) shipments.
State & Local Compliance
Active permits under Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and local air quality management districts. Zero Notice of Violation (NOV) record since 2018.
Sustainable Solutions
EAL: Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants
Our next-generation lubricants are designed for sensitive ecosystems. These high-performance fluids are biodegradable, non-toxic to aquatic life, and non-bioaccumulative, meeting the highest EPA standards.
Responsible Packaging & EPR
Detailing our UN/DOT regulated, recyclable, and EPR-compliant packaging initiatives. We utilize a closed-loop drum reconditioning system to minimize industrial waste and carbon footprint.
Our Environmental Stewardship
2020: ISO 14001 Certification
Enterprise-wide environmental management system implemented across blending, storage, and distribution operations in Batesville, MS, and Panama Pacific hub.
2022: EAL Product Line Launch
Introduction of Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EALs) for marine stern tubes, thrusters, and hydraulics. Formulations exceed EPA VGP and EU Ecolabel biodegradability thresholds (OECD 301B: >60% biodegradation in 28 days).
2026: Carbon-Neutral Operations Target
Commitment to net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across all HSO distribution and storage facilities. Implementation includes solar PV arrays, electric terminal trucks, and carbon offset partnerships verified to VCS or Gold Standard.
