01. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Huron Smith Oil Co. website (the "Site") and our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, that business accepts these terms. It will hold harmless and indemnify Huron Smith Oil Co. and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, suit, or action arising from or related to the use of the Services or violation of these terms.

02. eCommerce & Payments

All online transactions conducted through our portal are processed securely through Authorize.net. By submitting your payment information, you authorize Huron Smith Oil Co. to charge the total amount of your purchase to your selected payment method.

Payment Security Protocol

We do not store complete credit card information on our servers. All sensitive data is encrypted and passed directly to Authorize.net using industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology.

03. Shipping & Returns

Shipping of industrial lubricants and chemicals requires strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations. Huron Smith Oil Co. partners with certified hazardous materials carriers to ensure safe delivery.

  • Delivery Window: Standard orders are processed within 24-48 hours. Bulk shipments require scheduled delivery windows.
  • Risk of Loss: All items purchased from HSO are made pursuant to a shipment contract. The risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
  • Return Policy: Due to the nature of chemical products, returns are only accepted for sealed, uncontaminated product within 30 days, subject to a 20% restocking fee.

04. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Huron Smith Oil Co. and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

This includes all proprietary chemical blend data, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and industrial lubricant specification guides provided through this portal.

05. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HURON SMITH OIL CO., NOR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT IN QUESTION.

06. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
